Bet you thought this Original Character project was dead, right? For a while, I kinda did too.
But I'm back, now.
I drew and inked this in my travel sketchbook while we sat at a lovely cafe and waited for a bus to Hakone. After Nara and all the many temples, I was feeling very monastic... and after "Self-Made Man" and all of the gender issues raised therein, I really had the itch to draw Sage. Raking leaves in a temple garden. (Why have I never drawn temple!Sage before?)
Background sketched on the fly, but I rather like the scrubby pine trees.
Aw, thank you hon! I somehow suspected you'd like this one I'm glad my sparse background worked! I'm trying to get more in the habit of that sort of thing.
And eh, I picture them as being linen and tailored (monastic in a martial arts wear kind of way?), but worn baggy on her so she can keep as shapeless as possible.

A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!

I'm Iron Thorn elsewhere on the internet. If you know me from Valenth, stop on by and gimme a holla!
5 years later, Zelink is still my OTP, and Sheik's still a woman. Some things never change.
The clothes don't look particularly monastic, though?

*nod* I guess I wondered because the top looks a lot like a button-down shirt . . .
