For prompt #48, "tears." Feu and her own personal torment.

I thought it might be interesting to do a personification of crazy and put it on her back like a physical burden. Perhaps a little cliche, but it looked interesting so I went with it.

When I finally did ink it, the pen snapped partway through and the whole thing got a very distorted, expressive feel that I tried to enhance when coloring in Photoshop.

I really like the color palette here and the brush I used was fun. Also? Her face turned out kind of neat, I like that.

It's interesting to see Feu's personality reflected in the composition and the coloring. I might be going a little too in-depth, but the strong unbalance between the dark side and the light makes me think "crazy" pretty clearly.

I am enjoying the coloring style the more I see this, with it's subtle differences in shades. The whole thing has a spontaneous expressive feel that fits in well with Feu's personal drama.

The distortion really does add to this rather nicely. The smearing around her eyes effectively contributes to her frantic, scattered expression. I generally love the color palette, too, and the almost yin/yang composition (except there isn't really a yin, is there? Just empty space).
