I cheated. I decided from the outset I wanted to draw my folks so I could use it for an original character prompt (therefore, not total free association). I also reshuffled my playlist a couple times 'cause it kept pulling audiobook tracks in.

1) Pretty Ballerina - the Eels (concert version)
I was thinking some kind of big fancy dance scene, where the hot blonde ghost asks Taya to dance and she's all blushy. I like how her body language turned out.

2) Requiem - Final Fantasy Tactics Soundtrack
Token Raven looking melancholy sketch for a token melancholy instrumental.

3) River - Joni Mitchell
I figured out halfway through the song that I wanted moody break-up Sage hugging her legs, but ran out of time to refine it. It really suits her, though (and me, all that stuff about Christmas in California).

4) Unforgiven - Metallica
A song where I was like "why do I have this? OH. The lyrics. Right." Which... make me think of Flint ANYWAY. So a portrait. "This bitter man", indeed.

5) Yami no Yume - Megumi Ogata
The song has a very moody child-like voice that's awesomely inspiring for Raven. I was thinking of her hanging out in Flint's dreams unnoticed, wearing some kind of dream kimono.

6) Silence - Delerium (Short Version)
I liked this playlist. A lot of good angst to work with. Flint + angst usually = rain, so I went with that. I like the energy packed into that little tiny sketch. Looks like he's out alone in the rain repenting, or something.

7) Istanbul (not constantinople) - They Might Be Giants
Um. Midori riding a gettaway camel. That's all I got for this one, and that poor camel looks like an alien.

8) I wanna do more - Magic User's Club Soundtrack
Ahaha. What the hell, iTunes? This song is so... ridiculously cheerful and upbeat. I got stuck on Terryn sitting in the sun wanting to do more. The 3 mini sketches turned out too crunched (1: he's alive! 2: Flint is personally apologizing to him for being so evil 3: Taya is swooning and impressed by his awesome) but I love the one of him stretched out.

9) Koi no Yokan - Koji Tamaki
Couldn't find lyrics, so I just went based on the mellow rainy day mood. It was either people waltzing or people in bed. I was running low on paper, so Flint & Sage in bed it was. I like how their bodies turned out.

10) Daydream/Highnoon - Margot Day
HOLY CRAP this was a creepy track (I'm deleting it after this). I was originally thinking blood ritual to this, but my arm was getting tired, so it's a more generic manic looking Feu in the rain. A rain of blood, maybe?
