Haiku and his mother, for the "balcony" prompt. I don't think I ever really settled on a design for Haiku's mother, and I'm not sure if this is quite it. Child!Haiku is right on the money, though.
(She's speechifying and showing off her heir, by the way. That's why they're up on the balcony. Oh, elaborate character backstories...) At the time I did this, I really was enamored of the papergrit and the roughness of the pencil. Now I'm not sure, but I still like the warmth of the color palette. 77/100 |
